LCR and SP101 cylinders

Hi,

Question, are the cylinders on the LCR and SP101 are on the same hole centers (do the five holes line up exactly)?

Are you concerned about speed loaders or swapping cylinders?
I don't think the cylinders are interchangeable.
I would guess that the same speed loaders would work for both models.

I want to cut the cylinders for moon clips and it would be great if the clips can be the same for both as long as the centers are not on different centers!

I would guess that if you can use the same speed loader in either gun, you could use the same full moon clips.

The only info I can give is that I need to different size speed loaders from 5 star firearms for my lcr 38+p and my sp101 357. They dont interchange.

I think you are right when I look at speed loaders they recommend different once and I am sure since moonclips are more precise that would be the case.

Problem solved! I use speed strips rather than speed loaders so I have no experience with them.
Group think worked again!
I do use full moon clips for my SP101 9mm and have found some that work in both my SP-100s and my S&W 940s. (The factory S&Ws will not work in the SP while the Ruger factory will work in both. Has to do with the extractor hole in the middle of the clip.)

Speed strips is what I currently use..........in pitch black moonclips are much faster out of bed

My LCR357 and LCRX both work well with the 5 star J2, but the SP101 likes the J1 and it also works really well with the Safariland J-C7 and not quite as well with the HKS36.
