I was curious what your thoughts are on the Pro Mag magazines for the LCP? I couldn't find any of the Ruger made ones at my local retailers, but I picked up 3 of the Pro Mags for $16 each at Academy.

Have any of you used them in the LCP?

Thanks!

I don't have any experience with them for the LCP, but I've never had good luck with ProMags in anything, and basically consider them to be junk. In one case I was talked into ordering one for a Sig, and when I got it it was completely filled with lithium grease. It also doesn't feed well or engage the slide lock when empty.

Best to discuss their application in the LCP as that was the OP question. There were several LCP owners who tested the 6-round ProMag in their guns and reported no problems at elsiepeaforum.com (LCP Forum) However, the general consensus is, for carry and/or home self-defense, to stick with the OEM magazines. The difference in cost when you think about it, is negligible.

Thank you for the link to the other forum. I just joined over there but haven't had much time to look around yet. It looks like the majority are happy with them.
