Hey folks. I haven't tried out many revolvers in my time, but I do love the looks of the Single Six and the Bearcat. What I don't like is that when I grip the gun, my pinky has no place to grip on the Single Six. I assume the grip is shorter on the BC but I might be wrong.

is there a gun in the Ruger lineup that has a longer grip?

One way is to just put that baby finger underneath the grip. Another is to get an extra set of cheap grips and make your own wooden screw on extension to the bottom.

I know for certain that on old model SuperBlackhawk dragoon grip frame will fit on an Old Model Single Six. The same probably holds true for new models. That is the longest grip frame Ruger makes.

As some will point out...many do not like this hold...

Personally, some days I do, and some days I don't...

Is it stainless or blue? You can weld an extension and make a lanyard loop too using Super sight bases. Or you can invest in a Super grip and have the trigger guard rounded. Then there is the Hunter gripframe all in the plow division.

Any Single action Ruger I shoot, even a Super, I put on Houge's or Pac's. I have very large hands, ya can drop quarters through my rings, Coogs.

We have a couple of forum members that can make you a set extended of grips that will work.

My one handed grip is similar, just does not go back up on the grip.
