So, some time back I had bought a PSA Dagger, I bought a kydex holster that was recommended for it. The holster was nice & had good retention. I left the holster in the truck on a hot day. I later realized that the holster no longer had good retention. I heated it with a hair dryer & tightened it up. I did not realize that this could happen. I just thought I'd put it out there as I had no idea. I have used plastic/nylon or carbon fiber holsters in the past with no issue. It just never occurred to me.

I did know that. I just didn't know it would loosen up so easily.
A question... When the Kydex retains its composure, is it a holster that you like?
I've tried them and never could learn to take them seriously.
It is easy to conceal & very thin. It has a claw & the belt clip works well (will not come off easily). I may still use it some, but not if I know I might need to leave it in the heat.

I like kydex, but nothing beats a good leather holster for comfort. Kydex tends to bother the old love handles, especially if I take my gun out to sit down at the house.

There are vastly different kydex holsters out there. Quality is all over the place. Same as leather I suppose.
Point is you can’t compare the plastic Fobus to a custom from a known maker.
No idea what level you tried. Just some thoughts.
OP good PSA, I never thought of the heat in a car effects on holsters.
