Knife makers--got a spare bolt?

I don't recall how I got on these guys' mailing list, but every so often they send out some pretty interesting things. This one amazed me if for nothing else than its small scale. Enjoy:

+1 on what type of steel is the original bolt? Lots of those bolts are really soft metal. I’m not downgrading his work or anything. It does take a lot of talent, especially to work with such a small piece.

It is Stainless probably 304 or 316 not the best to make into a knife. You can tell how soft it is by him filing. should have made the knife out of a file
