KFC Robbed!

The Kentucky Fried Chicken place near me was reported robbed last night.

Must be some mistake. The place is posted that no guns are allowed.

Must be a franchisee option whether to post the property against firearms or not to. None of the four in my area, Medford, Central Point or White City are posted. Not surprising in this part of Oregon people are more likely to be carrying than not. We take our second amendment pretty seriously even if the state government has gone bad.

I had a post a while back about our local KFC's posting against legal carry. I TRIED to contact the owner of the franchise,,, but got nowhere. We eat at Bojangles all the time now,, no more KFC for us.

Last Sunday after a long hard day shooting at the gun club, my son and I stopped at a local KFC to pick up dinner for the two of us and my wife.
8 piece original recipe meal deal, a twenty pack of wings, an order of the new Nashville recipe chicken and two large sodas to drink on the way home cost just about $60US. Seems kinda expensive, but to be fair, it also provided the three of us lunch on Monday with some additional leftovers.

Nothing cheap about eating at KFC. Clogging up my arteries with grease is just a bonus.

Must be a coincidence as the local Waffle House near here and my bank were also robbed lately and both are posted, "no guns allowed". It is hard to believe that people cannot follow posted directions. :roll: :roll:

The owners of posted places don't really mind getting robbed. They know that if they allowed guns on the premises, otherwise decent folks would be getting into shootouts with employees and other customers, guns would be falling out of holsters, discharging and killing other patrons, or in the case of the scary looking guns, wriggling out of the holsters and shooting up the whole place. So banning guns is much safer, only allowing the "good" guns that the criminals bring in when they commit the robbery.

The Misses and I I ate at KFC last week-end.

I left feeling like I had been robbed.

First time we'd been there in a year or so and the prices have been "adjusted".

They had remodeled the building though.

I'm glad to see KFC isn't held in high regards. I tried to eat at one on Friday for lunch. Stood there for about 5 minutes. One woman who was working looked at me. Some guy came around the corner, saw me, then went back to texting on his phone and walked away. Another guy at the drive through must not have thought it was his job to speak to me either.

One other customer. The guy finally finished his texting and came back. He didn't say hello to me, but asked which was his register then walked away. Not a word was said to me at all.

I walked out, and no one said a word. Last time I go there.

So they got robbed? I guess as long as no innocent person was hurt, I don't care.

It sounds like the one there. A cop was there picking up a few orders and the place essentially shut down until his order was completed. Then one of the several people working finally made it over to the counter to take a couple more people's orders. All told, about ten minutes to get the food, which was marginal at best. Certainly not the KFC of years gone by. We won't be back.

I got no use for chicken thieves. Reminds me of a buddy telling me about watching a baseball game many years ago. There was a couple of old black guys sitting below him. Willey Mays stole a base, the guy is cheering and told his buddy, "Lookit him go! He musta got his experience stealing chickens!"

In the old days it was pretty good, I ate there often. I wouldn't have eaten there last week but sweetie wanted to.

We are in agreement now though, so no more.

They were always the most expensive. Their food used to be (30 years ago) really good.
And in all fairness, this just as easily could have been any retail location........that decided to post such a notice. :idea:

Wife and I are on a snug budget. KFC here charges over $9 for the lunch buffet. Heck. We go to Cheddar's chain restaurant, get the luncheon chicken basket which is always fresh and hot. We come away full, it tastes better and costs less. Get waited on very nicely for that price too. Powdery instant mashed potatoes and factory-crafted gravy at KFC used to be one of my favorites in the 80's. I haven't had KFC in, likely 10 years. Don

Popeyes is as bad; They must steal their chickens the instant they are hatched from the egg; Never saw such small drumsticks and thighs. Anymore, When I want fried chicken, I buy it at my local Publix market; always fresh, nice size pieces and reasonable price.

Reminds me of how I feel about Taco Bell, there's sites online that will show you how to recreate the entire menu from home... only much better. I haven't been back since, it's not even that much trouble to cook %90 of it. The same is true of KFC.

If I can do it you can too, my cooking skills are barely adequate to scramble an egg.
