Where is the best place to buy the 250gr keith type lead bullet for 44 spl and 44 mag? I dont want the gas check design. Probably need .430 or .431 dia. I am not sure which diam I need? I am sure someone has used these and knows what diam is best for the flatops? Appreciate any info. Just got the new flatops and need to try some of these bullets. Thanks

I get mine from Magnus Bullet Co. They have since changed the picture on the box to reflect the true flat base design. They are local to me and a shop down the road sells them, although you can order them online as well.

(By the way, the description on their website states they are .429" dia. That is not correct, they are .430")

I have a .44 Lipsey Special and it works well with my standard .430" 250 gr Keith bullets (I cast my own from a Mihec mould for a clone of the H&G #503).

Man, these are VERY nice revolvers!

These are some of the nicest Keiths I've ever used, and not expensive.

Purchase or size the bullets to the same diameter as the cylinder throats of your gun for least leading and best accuracy. You don't need really hard bullets as I've run many of my .44 Magnum bullets to Magnum velocities (upwards of 1,200 fps in a 6" revolver) with bullets running between 12 and 15 BHN, mostly wheel weight alloy. I've had good luck with Beartooth Bullets, Missouri Bullets, and Acme Bullets (I'll often buy bullets of a specific design before I buy a mold)...

GP100man last post was April 1 2016. I wonder what happened to him and WESHOOT2 last posted Nov 13, 2014.

I miss the old days. :D :D
