K77/357

This may be a old tired question, but what can be expected out of the K77/357 can it be a fair to good 100 yard gun?
Most of my Ruger hand guns are .357 mag

I think they make a lot of sense. A good deer and hog gun I imagine with 180gr bullets. With lighter bullets a good small game rifle. For target and range practice and newbie rifle shooter, a nice step up from a .22. I think it is a good addition to the Ruger line-up, just wish they would do the .41 mag as well. BTW there ain't many other (only one that I know of) manufacturers of 357 mag bolt guns. 8) 8)

IIRC I Like Pie or another member told me about a European manufacturer of custom rifles that offered one. I will look around and see if I can find it. 8) 8)

Thanks, that would be interesting. Probably cost a bit more than the Ruger though.

I have one and with heavier jacketed bullets it shoots quite well at 100yds. With lighter 150gr cast lead it does well at 50yds or less but not so good at 100yds. I am waiting on 180gr bullets from Penn (slow as can be but decent quality) to try at 100yds. Lets see if he can get them here before the snow flies too badly.

There's a review of it with shooting results in the Guns and Ammo magazine that just hit the newstands. Looks like less than 2 inches at 100 yds.
