I placed an order for a Ruger sr1911 back in February with my LGD, I live in Vermont so dealers are scarce (at least dealers I trust), and I have one that I have bought three other Rugers from. Anyway, I am still waiting, and due to his low volume he isn't a priority for the distributers.
My issue is, I have seen other dealers out of state, with 1911's on thir shelves (it would have cost me 45 bucks to have them shipped plus the extra 100 they were asking for the gun itself). I talked to a Ruger rep in my area who told me they are sending 1911's to their distributers and where they end up is based on sales numbers. In my mind this is CRAP, where is the customer service, all is see here is a system of corporate back scratching. It would seem to me that when you have an allocated status, the first priority should be to those INDIVIDUALS who have placed orders. I guess I just expect more from Ruger than this.
