This is my "make it the way I want it" project..

I know I posted some stuff on this rifle before, but I finally got off my butt and finished it, so I thought I'd throw some pictures up

Ruger No. 1 25/06 K1-B ... Started of with the laminated furniture. For a weight savings, I swapped all the laminate to walnut and to further reduce the weight I decided to go with the AH forearm. I also swapped the stainless pistol grip cap over to the walnut so it would look right.

Then I increased the weight by putting a hubble telescope on it. Only this one is the Leupold 4.5X14 CDS scope with the 50mm objective lense with the cut-out. This fit great with the 4B rings.

With the AH forearm, the barrel appears so long, it looks like it needs a flag on it..

I like the stainless with the walnut.

Are you going to install a barrel band?

Truth be known, if I can't find someone with a B forearm with the right contour, I will be installing a barrel band. This forearm was sold to me for a great price, but the idea of putting a barrel band on this kind of bums me out.

Thanks for the all the complements. It is a little odd looking with the AH forearm, but it was built for the coyotes and it will do that without question...

singleshot,

The barrel profile looks like a standard rifle(#1B) barrel profile. The standard beavertail forend should fit. You can also by just a forend, inlet it, finish it, and checker it to your tastes.
