Folks,, I've gotten word that gunwriter,, John Taffin has been given just a day or two left on this earth. His passing can come at any time. Please keep his family in your thoughts & prayers.

It's always hard to receive news of the passing of another of our loved and well-respected gun writers. We gain some solace in knowing that John has joined some of the shooting sports most known and remembered entertainers, writers, educators and just good folk. He has been a friend to many, and a role model to many more. His experience has become our experience through his writings, which will not soon be forgotten. R.I.P. John and thank you for your many contributions. We hold our cup high in your honor!

Sorry to hear. When I moved from CT to AZ, it was Elmer who got me going on the search for a Number 5. That morphed into a search for the PPP as described by Taffin. Had been pulling his books off the shelf for info before my Lipsey PPP purchase. New info to be had every time I read them.
Truly a loss.

When we lost Bill, I took out an early Red Eagle .22 & shot it to honor Bill. Today,, I'll take a .45 Colt out to honor John.
