Just in case N. Korea nukes Japan they've distributed a handy booklet with pictures on what to do. Pretty good, but they forget the most important action: Place head between legs and kiss your ass goodbye.

They forgot, "don't look at the bright light". I remember getting instructions like those in the 6th grade. :D

I tend to believe that once any initial burst is experienced and survived (In Japan or anywhere else), one has been granted a 24-hr notice of the end. Max...
Buh-Bye.

Yes, my thinking exactly. A nuclear war is a nightmare that people do not want to know too much about.
Someone may publish a book, telling people to hunker in the basement, because that is about the only option that anyone has.
And, there is plenty of privacy there, so people can kiss their hiney goodbye, without embarrassment.

Japan will make their own nukes before it is all over with, they can't trust us to do anything, and they know it.

It's OK folks. Calm down.
Shutting all the doors and windows will save them.
It says so right in the pamphlet.

Back in the day, I took a USMC course that went into every detail of nuclear weapons deployment. Target selection, detonation altitude, delivery system (CEP), weather, appropriate warhead to achieve the objective, etc., etc. It's far more involved than people think. You don't just light a fuse and hope for the best.

All of the NBC training in the USAF taught me one thing. You might not want to survive.

I'd rather go in a flash with N that suffer with B or C.

Unfortunately, the 3 weapons are not mutually exclusive.
