..... of who we've become?

American Airlines passenger in seat recliner controversy wants to press charges

=====================================================================

Wow. I'm embarrassed for us.

This reflects the sorry state of "journalism" in America today. I'm much more concerned with the far Left agenda being espoused and supported by the Democrats than I am whether or not someone should be allowed to recline their airplane seat in a super crowded passenger airliner.

No no no.

Nothing here is about journalism.

This is about PEOPLE. Their thoughts and values, or lack thereof in both cases.

Journalists produce what is profitable and encourages viewers to return.

From what I have read, she reclinined and he ask her to put it back upright so he could eat; which she did. When he finished eating she again reclined the seat. At that time the man started banging on the seatback. She asked him to quit and he didn't. She asked the Flight Attended to 'intervene'. She only caused more problems. When I fly I always inform the individual behind me that I am going to reicline the seat. That is a feature of the seat I paid for and I use it. Perhaps she wasn't 'diplomatic' in the way she responded but as far as I am concerned she did nothing wrong.

I filed this positioning of the story under “weekend help”. I suppose the stories move up and down the page depending on clicks, but that’s just a guess, and no excuse for such a minor event leading your website.

Have never been a fan of the Republican news channel but it kind of came home a few years back when I was visiting my parents who usually had it on if my father was not watching the western channel... all day long all they, Fox, had on was live reports from some hospital in London because one of the royals was fixing to give birth....

You are correct, It is pathetic, people don’t care about other people around them. It’s become a “me first” world. I don’t know what the answer is...

I'm thinking if this is a problem one of two things should happen. #1 the airline should make the seats so they they can't recline enough to be intrusive to the person behind, OR, #2 the airline should configure their seating so that it isn't so tight that these kinds of problems happen. Will either happen, I doubt it but to me, the airline set this up to happen by not doing one of the aforementioned things.

Or, as from Water Hole #3:
It's the code of the west you must honor your neighbor
The code of the west to your own self be true
The code of the west you must do unto others
Do unto others before them others do it unto you

Yup, airlines know it's an issue, after all, people are people!
I'd say make them ridged and save a few dollars and pounds per plane.
Then enforce the carry on bag size.
Then make some of the human pigs take a shower.
Then require small children and drunks be sedated prior to boarding.
Then replace the cabin attendants with ex Marine Corps drill instructors.
I need to start an airline....

The lady should have punched him.

In a perfect world, she could do that and not be prosecuted. But I agree with the sentiment.

Of course, as violently as he was hitting her seat, I could easily imagine how she might have had her hot cup of coffee jostled from her hands, perhaps even over her head and towards the back of the plane as she was preparing to take a sip...

No sir.

It is a pathetic example of who SOME have become. Teach the young early and often about doing right.

No winners here, she had the right to recline, he was an assh-le for his part, stewards should have ended it with a talk to both. Now she milking it.

Said day for all who participated or there lack of....scott

The airlines set this up to happen. Good. Sue the holy shi'ite out of them.

Seats too small, too crowded, people crammed in like cattle. I'd rather drive 12 days than fly anywhere.

Damn babies both of them. Both should be barred from flying! Fixed!
Cant behave, drive walk or boat! no more plain rides! In a year will give
you a second chance! ps

The media only offers these things as attention getters because WE consume it, crave it, buy it.

THAT'S the sad part.

Wonder if the gentleman would of been poking the seat if it was occupied by another man.

So what actually happened, was she reclined the seat, he asked her to raise it while he ate, which she did. She waited about 10 minutes, figured he was done, and reclined it back fast, thus spilling a drink on him. He got upset. Also he was in the back row with no option to recline himself.

IMO both are in the wrong and should’ve acted like adults.

I also never recline the seat I’m in because I hate when the person in front of me reclines.
