As stated in the subject title -
I am hoping you fine people can enlighten me as to when the plastic trigger group and barrel bands started on the 10/22?
Serial number crossover and approximate date (that I suppose the Ruger site would help with if I have a serial number range.

Sorry if this has been covered - my search didn't reveal the answer...

Thanks!

Have you tried the Ruger Home site? Under "Customer Service", "Have a Question? Click here first"
Enter the question, and a Ruger rep will answere, usually the next day. I have used it several times
with questions about the 10/22, and the replys have been more than helpful.

Thanks John...
Just might have to give that a try... I didn't know Ruger would provide that specific of info...
I thought Chad or some of the other folks that track this kind of info might chime in...
Thanks again!

You are more than welcome. I am a newcomer at this, retired 4 years ago and have a renewed interest in guns, 10/22's have been a long time favorite.
Ruger also has a "Authenication" service that costs $10.00 per gun, download the request form
from "http.//www.ruger.com/service/letterOfAuthenticity.pdf" and mail it to them. Aso they have a site that will explain and detail serial numbers as to the year of manufacture, pretty interesting.
