inexpensive good 22lr

i am looking for a good 22lr that isn't too expensive, i have saved all i can on a gun and i have $300 or less if possible to spend. the next saving my wife is wanting something so this is all i have. my wife took my 22lr lcr which is good in a way, so i'm looking again and know that there aren't many if any revolvers in my price range, so i thought i would go auto and check them out. in my local shop i found a used 22/45 ruger stainless with adjustable sights, i was told i could get it for $300 out the door. it looked ok but had been shot some, still had box 2 mags. what other guns are out there in new or used that i can afford? please none of the save a little more as i have saved all i can, starting next month my wife starts putting money back for something for herself. thanks

Unless the 22/45 is obviously abused, it will probably outlive you. They are very durable guns. However, with the introduction of the new MkIV, you may find a MkIII in either standard or 22/45 form brand new at that price.
