Thanks ! Here, a big block party. A red-neck type parade, an all day yard party, pool, cornhole tourny.. At dark the whole party moves down the road for 2-3ooo bucks worth of pro grade boom booms. We have fund raisers to raise the money, have the volunteer firefighters live here. They over see the launching. GOD bless our founding Fathers.

Has anyone noticed the proper term, "Independence Day" isn't being used any longer? The generic, "4th of July" is being used.

I doubt that many products of our current school system could explain 'Independence Day' anyway. They just think it was a cool movie....

Wow, been checking the weather for this Independence Day Holiday. N E. Ohio'er is the place to be ! Gonna be 72 degrees, zero chance of rain, wind from the NNW, sunny. Got some rain in the last 24 hrs, will keep the chance of fires from fireworks to a minimum. Gotta wash the Honda Rubicon, wire on the deer skull and flags, for the parade ! How's that go..."Got some beer on ice, a pig in the ground, and all my rowdy friends are coming over tonite"
