I can't imagine. Let's just round it out to an even 17 degrees. That's as cold as the winter I survived at Aberdeen.

You can keep that. Here in the mitt.... it may be -5 outside right now, but there is bright sunshine. With snow on the ground, sunglasses are a must or you will be snow blind for about 10 minutes anytime you enter indoors....

Back 20 years or so ago, I spent a LOT of time in Oregon & Washington starting up a bunch of gas turbine compressor sets.
I spent as long as 6 weeks at a time at various sites, and in some cases I NEVER saw the sun the entire time I was at a given site. Close a couple times, but never what you'd call a 'clear' sky. I love the area in the northwest, but I'd have to live east of the Cascades or I'd end up cutting my own throat! lol

My son lives in Woodland Washington and daughter in Vancouver Wa. I will visit, BUT will not live there. I want to see the sun and horizon. I get that crowded feeling. greg
A little different for, that is for sure. Sent o e of the pump trucks out today and even though it was plugged in and lights in the better pump and inlet and outlet valves the valves were still froze shut by the time Mitch got to the first job. Where we don't run heated collars like in the Midwest, it just isn't worth trying to take trucks out in subfreezing temps. SORRY FOLKS, USE A BUCKET UNTIL WE CAN GET THERE!

The last few days here (just south of Olympia), have been COLD but sunny w/o a cloud in the sky. Absolutely beautiful! The clouds are starting to come in as we speak.

Those coastal Oregonians (many imported from places like Berkeley and San Francisco) go ape poop when the temperature drops below 40. Wayno is upset about 17 deg and a few inches of snow when we Central Oregonians have 4 feet of snow and minus 5 deg temps. We actually hit 20 deg above today for a brief shining moment. It was quite pleasant. I just barely got out to the main road today in my 4WD F-250 with new snow tires on all four corners.

It's -17 here now, and bound to get colder before morning. I could have stayed in Anchorage for that.
Should have been -7, (instead of 17) now it's -10. I'm really hoping it warms up a LOT before the rain comes in. Doesn't look like it according to the weather guesser.

Not bad here. Had 16" of snow on the roof of my storage shed yesterday morning and 19F. Finally got the driveway cleared today. Supposed to be some more crud coming. But it's still a hell of a lot better than SE Alaskan weather. That's where the REAL 50F summers and eternal rain is. A six week long drizzle starting in June and ending in late July? That's Ketchikan with it's rain average of 168". I did think fondly of my long gone snowblower yesterday though.
