I got a 'warning'

on another forum because I made some so called 'unacceptable comments' about the influx of violent criminals entering the US illegally.
The moderator made a derogatory comment before deleting the 'unacceptable' portion of my post. Unfortunately, I don't even remember what I said. Not the first time I've been chastised for stating the obvious. :poop:

I commented on a certain S&W forum about wanting to see the key safety on their revolvers gone. My post was deleted within 10 minutes of me posting it. I was told we do not/can not make negative comments about the lock. Of course one of the members who posts a lot commented something along the lines that this "hole" should not exist. His post is still up.

Back in 2016 I was banned "for life" from the S&W forum for saying that late one night I think I caught a glimpse of Hilary flying home on her broom. Then surprisingly, about a year ago I received an email saying that a thread on that forum that I had been following all those years ago had just received a comment. Wondering what would happen, I tried to log in and seemingly am back in good standing with that forum, at least for the moment.

I figure when folks censor others, regardless of the media, they are simply showing their fear of others ideas. I take them to be small minded and cowardly.

Like a number of others, some here I was booted off Leverguns because we didn't drink the Koolaid.

But then I have a tendency to speak my mind. Not always been to my advantage but I can live with that.

Or as we used to say, "sticks and stones will break my bone but words will never hurt me". Sadly kids today are so hypersensitive that words that don't follow their belief system cause PTSD and require a puppy and blanket to ease their fear.

I was chastised on a certain 1911 forum because I asked a question about a part that required gunsmithing (drill and tap) to attach to a 1911. 'Oh, that belongs in accessories, not gunsmithing! You get a warning!' I told them to take a flying leap at a rolling donut and called the moderator a nazi (a board nazi, to be precise), which earned me another warning. I Subsequently requested that they ban me for life so I was never tempted to waste my time there again. The moderator did but he had to act like it was his idea, just to inflate his rather large ego. And then, I got birthday greetings from them for years. I finally emailed the administrator and asked them to stop spamming me.

I got banned on a gun forum once. I can’t even remember the name of it. I wasn’t a member very long.
Two old guys had set themselves as experts and they had a section called “ask the experts”.
These guys didn’t have a clue.
This was back when Winchester 94s were just starting to take off in price.
Someone asked “the experts” how much their Win 94 was worth and they told him $200.
I couldn’t stand it and commented that they had risen dramatically in value and it was easily worth $400.
They commented something about this was just a temporary fluke and prices will return to normal shortly. I disagreed and was gone.
It was an insignificant forum and I don’t miss it.

You it would be better served posted in a different spot instead of you have been suspended for a week. I haven’t been back either. They do send me BD greetings lol

One site did that to me more than once so I stayed away after the second time. Both times I can remember, the moderator was so dense, he banned me for something I wrote that he didn't even understand properly. In other words, I didn't say what he thought I said and it wasn't hard to understand the interpretation he made was a massive stretch. The first ban there, I wrote "F***" in an automotive topic about an F-150 or a Mustang or something in obvious reference to a brand (see, I work at a GM dealer and cannot possibly write the real word). Two days later I got an email saying using substitute cuss words was against the rules. I never responded because it was so stupid. Well, I got a 3 month ban for "ignoring a moderator warning email".

Heck, a lot of good forums get sold off to forum collectors who try to monetize everything to turn them into a profit stream. Seems like a lot of them are owned outside our country. I have actually asked to be banned from one car forum and one gun forum (was a life member) so I could never be tempted to re-visit them. I don't have to be on any forum if it gets too "stuffy" or monetized for my liking!

Get some information from AM radio stations? There was an SEC rule that only 25% of foreign money could be involved in buying US companies. They waived that and a Soros backed group will now buy I believe upwards of 300 stations nationwide.

For those who think we are guaranteed freedom of speech and the right to arms are sadly mistaken and those rights are definitely on the chopping block in the name of world security.

Sounds very much like the same forum that gave me a 'time out'. I too get birthday greetings yearly.

They are particularly sensitive about the lock. The subject has created epic beat downs in the past. They are also overly concerned with their optics. Too many people just can’t mention the lock, they have to give it names and political links, Hillary hole etc. There was just too much acrimony about it so discussion of it was essentially banned. Well except for a few of their high roller collector types.

I've never been politically correct. Not gonna change at my age. If I get banned for being honest,so be it. But I will always be civil and expect the same from others.
