I've found a pound here and a pound there, but I havn't seen an 8# jug for under $212 +tax. It was $150 +tax. I'm cool with that. The last 8# jug I bought was $109 +tax. I passed on 2-4 # jugs of Power Pistol at $80 +tax each. Went to another nearby box store and they had Federal Champion .22's for $2.49 +tax (50 count), 10 box max. They work fine when I'm out with the granddaughters.

Other powders may have eclipsed Unique over the years, but I can run out of all of my handgun powders and keep on loading with good old Unique

Most powders seem to be showing up around here also. Unique, 231, Clays, 2400, Red Dot and so on.

Not much Bullseye yet, for some reason, but there is a small amount.

I got two 8 lb jugs of Unique about 4 months ago,, at $130 or so,, if I recall correctly. I just got 3 jugs (4 lbs each,) of Universal,,, as a sorta back up to Unique. They cost me a bit more at $100 a jug.
Still,,, at least powder is becoming more readily available in more places & hopefully the prices will return to a more reasonable range & not gouge us.

I got an 8 lb. jug of Accurate #9 a while ago from Midway when they had no HazMat charges. I'm good for 357 and 44 magnums in handguns and rifles. :D

I haven't even saw unique! But I did pick 8# of Acurate No5 and 8# of W 296 and Couple of #'s each of 800X, Longshot, and 5# of SR 7625. 1# N320i
I need to slow down a bit I guess but never know when the shortage will return though. The W296 came in today along with needed primers from Midsouth.$26.00 has fee but not bad when you consider the LGS prices.

I am thinking now would be a good time to start stocking up considering we are going to have an election in November and nobody knows what the market will be like after that. :D

It's def.a good time to start stocking up. Who wants to get caught with their britches down if there a shortage of this and that in our future?

Cholo you and Jimbo are right of course I've been doing ok restocking everything though the powder lead isn't lasting that long. Seems I keep sending it downrange! 100#'s of lead doesn't last long when I shoot 38/357, 40, 41, 44, 45 cals.
But I do enjoy casting.

HI...

I have been seeing 8# jugs of Unique, Blue Dot, 2400 and Bullseye and a few others fairly regularly around south central Pennsylvania. Prices have been running in the $120-130 range.

I am well stocked on powders but will be stocking some 8#'s in the near future to augment my emergency reserves.
