Hi folks,

New member, not exactly new to Rugers of all flavors though. Just picked up a nice Old Model. 357-it's in awfully nice condition too, I'd say 98%+.

This is a bit of an occasion for me. 2010 saw the sale of my house, motorcycles and modest collection of three-screw Supers and a relocation to Texas for work, so I guess this is the official start of a new collection of old Rugers! Let's hope 2011 allows me to add a few more and start a small herd!

Best, threescrewheekma

Thanks bucks!

The 4 5/8" barrel is a little less common, and the condition is exceptional. It's a fine way to restart a collection. I showed it to a much more knowledgeable collector than I am, and after comparing against some of his NIB Old Models and going over it in detail, we're both convinced it's the original finish. Usually guns in this condition come with box and paperwork, but I wasn't about to pass this one up because they'd gone missing!

Many thanks for the friendly welcome folks!

Kicking around the site for a few days has convinced me this is a very civil, friendly and informative site. I'm looking forward to learning from the great people on Ruger Forum.
