Depends on which holster you are talking about. The difference in slide widths is about .050". If it's a molded holster of any kind, the SR9c will have a loose fit. Good luck.

The Fobus HK-1 model holster is specifically stated to fit the SR9 and SR9c and, in fact, is sold on Ruger's web site for these pistols. For only $20 you might as well get the right one. It's available in both right and left handed versions which is a plus.

I have that Fobus, retention is very good- you just have to remember to pull forward and up at the same time- but you'll figure that out in the first 30 seconds. From what I understand that was intentional- to keep a BG from pulling your pistol in close-contact fights. Good holster, especially for the price.
