I've always had this stuff laying around... For some reason it just occurred to me to make a hatcam.

Then I used it in this mornings match and it turned out great!

Pretty cool. Does it feel heavy or bulky on the hat? Sorry to ask but what were you watching on your computer. I hope it wasn't porn.

That's a cool video.

Did I see a couple of malfunctions with that Glock? I'm not talking crap about it, just not sure if I saw it right or not.

Not exactly... I have a really high thumbs forward grip, to where I completely cover the slide stop with my weak hand. The best I can figure is that my grip was sloppy causing the slide stop to ride up.

i would have thought it would have been front heavy and fell off or drooped down but it worked outstanding.

neat videos too!
looks like fun.

the only thing stopping me from doing that is my gut and my aim
....and money.

That worked better in the match video than I thought it would looking at the hat! ;) Does that camera have built-in image stabilization on the lens? The images were remarkably clear and stable and a good frame rate too.

Nice shooting, also!

'Course that might just mean you're one stable, levelheaded platform ;).

What model Canon is that? For a point-n-shoot it did a really good job. Do you have to futz with it too much to get it running and stop it? What's the recording time? Also it seems to be sped up a little, maybe 1.5x?

Too cool, I'm going to have to try that.... it's just way too simple... did you have the anti vibration feature on the camera on?

Nope, it's a very basic video mode on my P&S, no frills.

It's a canon sd780is. If I remember right it was around $100 and it records in 720p. and no, it's not sped up. :p

Thanks for posting that Conrad. The hat cam made it a lot easier to tell what is going on when you shoot. Really cool.
