help with pachmayr grips

I am sold on the pahcmayr presentation small grips with the logo. I did find the mold line on the back strap and the edges on the front of the grip unsightly. tonight I took a razor and shaved the edges and mold line down. next I had to smooth out with 1500 grit wet sand with a little gun oil. Now I would like to a get shiny finish.

any suggestions?

really I would have never thought about that. does that make it super slick that erode the rubber? what about birch wood tru oil gun stock wax?

IMHO, I'll stick with walnut. Those rubber baby buggy bumper grips are way too much for me.
