Help! Revolver Sickness won't stop!!

Yep, years ago I knew I wanted a .44 Bisley Hunter, but talked myself into a .45 convertible Blackhawk. The very next day I ran into a "deal I couldn't refuse" on a .44 Bisley Hunter.

At one point not too many years ago I actually said, "I have no need for a .44 magnum." At the time I was doing most of my shooting at an indoor range that wouldn't allow them, anyway. Now I've got four of them, including a rifle. Not to mention a few .44 Specials and .45 Colts. And of course the .38/.357s that started it all.

Here is the 24-3 Three Inch!

The 29-2 might not make it here until Monday!! Ouch!

Now THAT is a nice gun. I was looking for one of those a while back, but just couldn't seem to find the right deal. Gunbroker had a few that ended up selling much higher than I was willing to spend (bidding war).

Now that you have some N-frames, you'll have to start making holsters for 'em

I'm only planning to keep ONE N Frame... the 29-2 Blued 4". I'd maybe like to find a 29 3" like the above 44 special... but we'll see if that ever happens! I do have a 4" and later today will have a 5.5" Redhawk(s).

Tell your wife guns are like shoes you can never have enough

I'd try that but she is not a shoe hoarder. I should say "guns are like quilting fabric... you can never have enough"! That would be closer to it. In fact.... that just might help a little! haha.... here we go.... a trip to the quilt shop to buy some fabric!

As I type this.... I am sitting in my office... I have the shakes... I'm waiting on a UPS Truck with my 5.5" Redhawk! Look for its pics shortly!

 Huh? Another arrival?

The only cure for your addiction is to go "cold turkey". Bring ALL of your revolvers to King,NC where Stoots & I will put them in a safe place and they will never again be a problem for you.

It's funny I told my wife to tell me how I didn't need to go buy a new gp100 last night. She wasn't very convincing in telling me how I didn't need one. I told her this morning. She said to sell one of my others. I told her I didn't want to get rid of any of the others. I still haven't talked myself out of going this afternoon and getting one. I don't need it with over 30 now I just don't have one of those. We will see the rugeritis has a hold on me also. My wife loves to go out plinking with me I could play that card on her. Nah then she would want to claim it for her's. We'll see this afternoon. It's a whole lot easier to get forgiveness than permission.

Well I went and picked up the gp100 this morning. Now I have a peeve with ruger. I like the white outline sight on the gp100. The sights on all my single actions have the slot for the paint but they are empty no white paint in them. Well I came home with the new pistol and painted the front sight like I like them and let the paint dry. Then loaded it up and went out of town to eat supper. When I got back I took the gp100 down and cleaned the internal parts and lubed the ones that needed it and also found a sliver of metal shavings in the action that isn't supposed to be there. It could have easily gotten into the triggergroup and caused a problem. I always take my guns apart and check them out inside and do my own inspection and lubeing of the parts that may need it.

Hi - I'm Jim and I-I-I'm a handgunoholic.

Just this month I bought a Kimber Ultra II from a buddy, an SP101, from Cabelas and an M67 PC from Buds. Somebody help me ..........

Yeah, it's bad..... Look at my join date. Almost a year ago to the day. I've bought 22 ruger revolvers in that time, mostly Single Sixes...... Every time I think I gotta slow down I see another one...... It's like a treasure hunt.....You just never know what's gonna pop up.....can't pass it up right? I've got projects around the house that have to be done...and paid for. Oh man, I've got to slow down! How many diferent configurations of Single Sixes are there?.... Geez, my safe is full, I think I need another one......Rugerforum has done it.....it's all your fault......exuse me now, I have to get back over to the classified section.....Oh well, misery loves company right? I guess you could call this forum "Group Therapy"

Over the past year my long dormant passion for firearms collecting reawakened form the catacombs! After a very active November through January , I swore the Ruger Redhawk I traded my safe queen .44 MAG Vaquero Bisley on would be my last darn gun purchase until at least mid March.
Then I came across a dealer with three Security Six .357 Mags to choose from.
Been looking for a nice Security Six to go with my GP-100 for quite some time.
Ended up going home with this 95% plus 6 inch with factory target grips manufactured in 1985. Guess I really have 'the sickness' bad!
