To close to town
at a gunshow that Ruger was going to re-introduce a new and improved 10/22 MAGNUM. Anybody know anything about this?

Thanks
Jeff

If you heard it in a gun shop or at a gun show, it is probably not true. They're great places to hear rumors and falsehoods but not much else.

They should make a pistol, like a MK3, in .22 mag, that would be awesome.

10/22 would also be cool.

Might just happen. They can copy the new keltec 22 mag pistol. Worked with the LCP

That Keltec is barf ugly.

A stretched MKIII in .22 WMR would be interesting though. I'm not sure they could get away with straight blowback though.

Reports on the net, and both LGS, is the Kel Tec is having problems. One dealer told me he has returned half of all Kel Tecs and the other shop has decided to quit carrying it due to the returns.

As to a 10/22 magnum return.....I think it doubtful, but who knows?

Supposedly, anything is possible, but it seems that every blowback semi-auto .22 Magnum has failed. I think it's simply a matter of a cartridge design that just isn't suitable for blowback---and there's probably not enough gas to power a locked-breech action. Maybe a long-recoil action?

The high-cap magazine is another matter. Maybe a Ruger Mk IV???

It would seem to me as long as we're wishing a 22-45 would be the better piece that a Mark III. Just a little bit more area to beef up.

Interestingly, mine hasn't been not working now for 11 years!

I own a PMR-30 and it's no uglyer than a MK3 (IMHO)

But, on subject, I'd sure like a Ruger 10/22 MAG :D
With a 25~30 round magazine :D
(Like the Kel-Tec-RMR-30, which is not out yet.....)

Lateck,

Mine is a first year 10/22 Magnun and it has never let me down. I think some of the problems people have with their firearms are self inflicted.
