Heading out in a few

I'm going to hunt a blind on our north farm this morning. Wind isn't perfect but deer will already be 'in range' before they get downwind. I haven't been up there yet this year but this stand is a consistent producer and I'm confident in getting on them before they wind me.

Well, did you get any deer yesterday up there?

I went out yesterday,, and let a couple of small bucks walk. They were nervous,, due to the wind. Knowing what I've seen here,, those two are safe around me.

I didn't see any antlerless within range morning or afternoon. Went back this morning and tagged a big, old doe that a buck chased into the open but the others were just too skittish for a decent shot. I've already used my buck tag so nothing with a visible antler from here on out. We've already donated 5 deer to 'Share the Harvest' and just being patient until colder weather to start filling our freezers.
There are a couple of crop fields bordering our north farm that haven't been harvested and I think a lot of deer are hiding out in those.
