I'm looking for a place near Milan NM to do a scope check when I get there in December. Anything from an actual range to just a spot where it's safe(and acceptable) to set out a target and take a few shots.

The office is not far of I-40. Ask any of the road crew guys in the office about a place to sight in. Most of them are deer and elk hunters and know all the nearby areas for sighting in. They are a great group of folks. You might even try finding out by calling the switchboard number 505-285-3200.

Pistolero, I'm not going to make it to Chama this year (recent knee surgery) but sure hope to be back next year. Hunted just across the state line in Colorado last year, successful elk hunt. I love Chama.
