Ruger's websight no longer shows left hand Hawkeyes except in 375.
Have they been discontinued?
Tell me it isn't so.

It's all determined by sales. part of why if it's a gotta have, ya gotta get it while it's there. ;) Now as a feel better thing, Davidson's has plenty of LH Hawkeyes in stock. :)

I suspect you'll see all non plastic guns by most manufacturers gradually phased out over the next several years.
If you love walnut and steel I'd get um now.

I think you hit the nail on the head.
It would seem the left handed Ruger American Rifle is probably the biggest reason the walnut stocked Hawkeye in a lefty has been discontinued.

I just got a LH Hawkeye in 7mm-08. I had wanted one for a while and decided to grab one while I still could.

I see they still offer the LH 375 Ruger in African and Guide gun. I will have to get one of those next........

If either a .223 Rem/5.56 NATO or a .308 Win. is suitable, the Ruger Gunsite Scout is available in left handed form in both blue and stainless.

They seem to be readily available thru Davidsons. Wonder how long that will continue?

I wouldn't worry about it to be honest. They "quit" making left hand stainless rifles about 4 or 5 years ago yet we still see occasional runs of new rifles.
Plus there are enough floating around they will be easy to find at good prices for many years to come.

I'd like to get a couple of 06's ...one to use as is....the other to turn into a LH 9.3x62 African style with sights. Maybe another short action to turn into a 250 Savage :)
