Guys,
Has anyone got one that they can weigh? How close to the catalogue weight are they?

Can they be lightened up to bring the bare rifle under 7lb ... maybe slimming the stock down or hollowing it out?

Con I have a RBBZ in 7mm that was supposed to weigh 8 pounds but it came in at 7.2 pounds. Sometimes I wish it did weigh 8 pounds to soak up some of the recoil. :lol:

That's good news as the laminate is a bit heavier yet ... I'd be happy enough with a finished weight with mounts and Leupold 6x at about that weight. Sounds like its achievable.

I have a Hawkeye all Weather .308. I had the bolt skeletonized & barrel fluted. With a Leupold FX-ll 6X36, Bonnie packer sling, and 4 in, it weights 7lbs 13oz. Pretty sure the .270 would be more weight with the long action and smaller bore.

Correcting my mistake my wife got some new kitchen scales measures to the gram . My RBBZ weighs 8 pounds 8 ounces with scope all of my other gun weights were about right though :?
