Hi all,

Did Ruger ever make a Bisley Super Blackhawk in stainless in 44 mag with a 5.5 inch barrel? If so, how much are they going for when found?
What are the stainless Ruger Redhawks in 44 mag with 5.5 inch barrels actually selling for these days?
(I'm looking for a nice stainless DA or SA 44 mag with around a 5 to 5.5 inch barrel.)

The reason I ask these questions is that I have a stainless Redhawk in 44 mag turned into a "Nighthawk" by Gary Reeder with a 3 3/4in barrel that I would like to use as trading fodder for one of the above (it's just too short for me, so has been a safe queen for 10 years) and want to know if it would be sufficient in value for one of the above.

$650.00 and more. Seems to me there are far fewer 5.5-inchers available than the 7.5 inch models. Also, stainless are more plentiful than blued.

I picked up a NIB 5.5" Stainless 44mag Bisley for $500 a couple of weeks ago and a used 5.5" Stainless Redhawk, with box and papers, for $450 last December.
I found both locally and were sales from private individuals.
I'm not sure if these prices are representative but they're what I paid.

You did very good, I think a 5.5" STN. STL, redhawk for $450.00 would be a very rare find!!

Last year, my LGS had two 5.5" Stnls Redhawks that sold for $500ea.
They also had a few 7.5" Stnls that went for the same price.
Unfortunately, neither of the 5.5" models made it home with me.
I was pretty happy when I found the one I bought.
I made a mistake in my initial post, it didn't come with box and papers.
