Well where I am in northern md it sure seems like it. About 70 yesterday and 68 today and sunny with a light breeze. I took advantage to do a little yard work. The roses are budding up and leafing out. Even hearing the motorcycles rumbling by says spring. Made it through another winter, this one with no snow. Not the usual where I am. Not trying to rub it in to anyone getting deluged or still bundled up. Just enjoying what God's thrown my way.

Yup, we skipped winter this year in N GA. No snow and many 70*+ days in Jan. and Feb. Supposed to be 75* tomorrow. I love it! :)

Here in the Northern midwest we are enjoying 60 degree weather, half the normal,
I was out raking some leaf buildup in my yard today, usually moving 8-10 inches of snow.
It's been a real nice record breaking warmup the last few weeks, but I feel there's going to be hell to pay for it before this winter is over.

It has been the same old stuff around here, and it gets monotonous too. Warm weather this, and warm weather that!

We got a skiff of snow last night. It's 47 degrees now, with only traces of snow in the shady areas. Yep, sounds like spring on the high desert to me.

It has been warmer than usual here but I would be scared to say it is all over with. We may still get his with a late cold spell. I don't think it likely but I would be scared to say it couldn't happen. If we do get any snow here it is usually in March & it has been known to happen in April.

The Mrs. and I went to the gun club this afternoon. Big crowd at all the ranges: pistol, rifle, trap and skeet. Labrador retrievers swimming in the lake, someone's birthday party at the club house, and, oh, did I forget to mention mosquitos? Can this really be February?
We did a little fishing (not even a nibble), put 150 rds. through the Glock, and finally had an opportunity to sight in my M77 in 6.5x55 Swede that I bought last summer. Not a bad afternoon.

Jeff

Got a house on Cape Cod for sale. That would move you a wee bit further South. :) :)

Hey PS, I'd swap locations with you in a heartbeat!

It's snowing like you wouldn't believe this morning. Haven't seen the ground since Dec 8. Been one of the coldest winters in years here. Could use a little global warming.

Would you take $1.95 for it? That's all I can afford to scrape together and that's cleaning out under the sofa cushions and dumping out my purse.

NEVER much of a "winter" in South Florida...
That's not exactly true. We used to get freezing temps on a regular basis in the winter time 30-40 years ago but now, not so much. I should know because I worked in the heating business and my in-laws were farmers battling frost on the crops with smudge pots and burning tires in the winter. The difference between freezing and not freezing has made a big difference here ...no more ice in the bird bath, no more Robins in the winter. :D
