I got a notice it went on Netflix this week and started watching it 2 nights ago--6 seasons. It started on TNT in '16 and is now on both Netflix and Prime. IMDB rates it 8.2.

I'll start Ep. 4 tonight, but so far it's really good! Rarely does a character creep me out, but the psycho son who plays "Pope" is nailing his part 😵‍💫

Not saying it's better, but it's along the lines of Breaking Bad and Ozark.

Anyone else?
 
Watched the full series on TNT when it first aired. It's based on a 2010 Australian film that itself was based on a true life Australian crime family. Always liked Ellen Barkin ( Sea of Love). Two of the actors are English. Interesting how the story develops.
 
Watched BB multiple times and have a BB theme song ring tone on my cell. Also watched Ozark, Snowfall, and Queen of the South. I'm on my own with all these shows, my wife is more into the Hallmark Channel and HGTV. But she likes nature shows so maybe I can start up Animal Kingdom under that premise and see how long it takes her to bail.

@Cholo I'm on episode one right now. Yeah, man that character Pope is pretty far out there. Holy cow.

It will be a good series. But like @weaselmeatgravy my wife doesn't like the dark psychological shows either.

And I never would have recognized Ellen Barkin in this show either, wow! Even her voice has changed.
 
On the last episode, another one I just finished is Waterfront. Both have been entertaining.

I'm on about the last episode of season 5.

I don't think it's as good as Ozark, but I like it a lot. Season 2 seemed a little slow at first, but it got going. There's lots of Oh ****! moments in future episodes like in Ozark when Darlene Snell shot Del the cartel guy for calling the Snells rednecks :ROFLMAO:

Since I've been laid up with a broken ankle, all I do is watch TV. I started binge watching Animal Kingdom and got hooked. Finished the first 5 seasons in a couple days. Wife would occasionally watch with me but when I was ready for season 6, she said I had to wait so she could watch them. Of course it's on her schedule so I get to wait until she's ready. Interesting that its based on true family. Wife said Pope reminds her of me. I walk around with a scowl on my face.
 
I finished it last night. The final episode was really good, though I didn't care for the conclusion.

Pope was my favorite character and he did a great job! All in all it's a really good watch!
