Been wanting a 327 for a little while and bumped into two yesterday.

One was a J frame for about $750. Other was a GP100 for $669.

Man that credit card started burning!! Luckily my butt is big and i didn't have to take it out. Ha.

There was also a 30-30 Contender carbine for $699. I was in bad shape by the time i left. Ha

I was jittery for a couple of hours yesterday after walking away from a S&W 657, stainless, 41 mag. round butt. Magna Ported, with a 3" barrel, w/box and asking only $650. Found it about a half hr. before the show closed so only had a short time to keep my hands in my pockets but.....
Something about those 3" round butt, stainless, 'N' frames that is very, very seductive.
Local show was much better than it had been. (Trying to get / keep a wad for Tulsa! :D )

Understand. I have always told myself if i put my hands on a fairly priced Contender carbine in 30-30 i would bring it home. It was about $100 higher than i consider in the "fair" range. He possibly would have come off some. I was afraid to ask. Ha

I tend to buy if they are even close to a fair price. Some guns are just hard to find. I've walked away over $50 before and them come back to see if they had come to their senses only to find out they were gone. I just won't do that anymore. Of course I much prefer buying the good deals, and I run into plenty, (the wife would say too many) but if it's a gun I've been wanting and haven't seen in a while. It's gonna be gone.

I know the feeling about hard to walk away. I walk away a lot of times, but of late I have been struggling with that. Just earlier today, I saw a stainless .357 6.5" Blackhawk on GB that was a reasonable deal and I have kinda been wanting one...so, I just said "What the heck?" and raised the bid $5.00 with about 2hrs left on the auction...you guessed it,checked it later in the day and learned I had bought the darn thing. Now this is the third one in 2 months...gotta stop this.

Well thats why i have slowed down too.
My truck needs brakes and tires but thats no fun. Lol

Joe, I went to a gun show last weekend, and of course when you don't have money to spend on guns everything YOU have been looking for shows up. Mine was a S & W Model 58-2, and the new SR1911. I think the 58 will be there come Dec cause it's not a popular piece. The Eagle lands in January and that SR1911 will be mine! I also saw an 1894FG for $1200. It will BE there for that HI price. Oh well good shootin! BHK

I've got to get down to that. 3 in 2 months. For some reason, I've had a lot of temptations lately, virtually every week. Getting expensive. I'm a gun a holic.

These 3 were just the guns bought on accident...not to be confused with those bought on purpose.
