Is there ANYONE here on the forum that can help me find a a higher capacity mag for my Ruger American bolt action .22/250? Factory stock is a rotary 4 round. I have been told by several people that there is a 6 or 8 round version out there but I can't find it anywhere. Any help greatly appreciated.

Look for an adaptor that allows AICS magazines. There's also an ebay seller making model specific magazines with higher capacity. I bought one of his single shot adaptors and it's good. He also makes inline/single stack for several platforms.

This, plus the standard Ruger magazines are garbage.

Like MOBUCK said you will need to convert to AICS type. MDT is popular with varmint hunters out west. 22-250 is common among prairie dog shooters. Semis became convenient because of the available mags. Bolt gun owners are now converting as well.
