I found a nicer than I deserve, 1964 44 carbine this past weekend.
Factory peep sights and all.
Only down side is its got a sling swivel stud in the bottom of the stock. (Tastefully installed)

Any factory 44 carbine is cool. Factory peeps is a bonus!
You done good!!!
I wish we still had gun shows in the socialist state of Washington..............☹️

Congrats,
Cheers,

Thank you, Sir.
I had a 1963 vintage already that's not quite as nice with standard sights.
And a nice 1967 10/22.
I'll try and get a family pic in a day or so.

I made a trade, but the ask price was 1100.
Which is about the (low end) going ask price in my region.
I have seen prefix serial numbered, standard sight guns in nice shape listed as high as 1600 in my region

Nice score!!! I love these 44 carbines… I have several…. My favorite is my fingergroove…

Also:

I have a dual sighted ( rear sight on barrel and peep sight on receiver) that I am willing to part with, 1965 gun…. Pretty rare variation…was going to post here in classified next week, but thought I would mention it now, didn’t mean to hijack the thread…. Let me know if interested…

That would be nice to have.
But unless some unforseen lottery winnings come my way, I think I will hold out hopes of crossing paths with a International stocked 44 carbine, next.
One can always hope and dream.

Ha! Cool, that's how I found mine, but a Looong time ago, back when they had gun shows at the Norfolk Scope in downtown Norfolk, VA. It was a smallish show without much of interest, except towards the end, I started a back and forth with a dealer who happened to have a new .44 carbine in a slightly ratty box. I honestly forget how much I paid for it, but it was between $500 and 600 or so. Somewhere along the line, I stuck an old Aimpoint Electronic sight on it and it's kilt a few deer, here and there... I hope you enjoy yours!
