Gun Stuff On E-Bay! Really!

I would have never ever thought that e-bay carried any real gun stuff. I just became amazed. Got a swap-out LR cylinder for my NAA WMR, got beautiful red and black grips for same, as well as a left handed cross draw holster for it. I also picked up a left-handed cross draw soft leather holster to fit my LCP .380 with Armalite trigger laser. Also, a back holster for my Shockwave with built in ammo holder. You folks must know all about it, but it is a complete surprise to me.

Oh, you’ve been missing out. Lots of guns get parted out, (sadly) but the parts are a blessing if you need them. Sometimes a whole parts kit, every thing except the frame can be had cheap.

I actually bought a complete T/C Renegade on ebay. I’ve gotten good deals on grips holsters shotgun barrels etc.

I was watching a police 870 barrel (under 18”) for almost a week before it got cancelled! Lol!

Most everything on eBay is sold by 'individuals'. They can ask for payment however they wish. It is YOUR choice to use Pay Pal or not

Several years ago, I bought something off e-bay, my credit card number started getting charges for things I didn't buy. I stopped that card and got a new one. I ordered something from e-bay (the only time I had used it) same thing happened charges started again. That was twice in 2-3 months. I quit buying from e-bay, it has never happened since.

I've bought and sold firearm related stuff on eBay for years: Magazines, scopes, holsters, targerts, Contender barrels, rifle cases and snap caps. As long that it's not ammo or a firearm it's OK. It's also Ok to sell airguns.

I’ve got some 10-22 parts for sale on eBay right now. Stocks/barrels and stuff. I’ve purchased lots of grips, grip frames, and Ruger cylinders there too. eBay is a good resource, even if their selling fees are excessive.

I have to add…selling on eBay is an absolute pleasure compared to most other methods. I have been a reselling fanatic ever since I was old enough to ride my bike around in trash day, and dig treasures out of the trash. Everything from aquariums to even a 12ga shotgun with a bent barrel. Even now my wife says “Why are you going to a garage sale? You have too much crap already ! You don’t need anything.” My answer- “Anything that I can buy for a dollar and sell for $20 is something I need- I don’t care what it is.” But back to my point. eBay allows you to list an item and sell it for a 15%+/- fee. With no phone calls, no haggling, no waiting for buyers that don’t show up, no interruptions of your daily life. Anyone who has ever held a garage sale, or sold on Craigslist or FB Marketplace knows the aggravation involved. eBay, although pricey, eliminates all that hassle.

Local gun shop had a whole big pile of 14" 870 barrels that came off of police trade-ins. The barrels were sold on Gunbroker.

I bought a couple of GP100 Stainless 3" barrels off Ebay a while ago. I was going to convert one of my 6" full lug GP's to 3", but then I got one of that short run of 1708's, and forgot about it. Hmmm... I wonder where they went off to...

buying gun stuff and anything else was cheap way back then. buyers and sellers didnt have all that fee crap, must have credit card account to sell stuff, and fixed shipping cost going on.
you listed it, sold it, paid like 10 cents to list a 99 cent starting bid. if it didnt sell, you just relisted it free.
then they got greedy and didnt allow sellers to leave neg feedback on deadbeat bidders. then ended my life on fleebay.

They changed the feedback rules because too many bad sellers were saying "If you say bad things about me, I'll say bad things about you." Some sellers were paying for positive feedback. It was a mess.

No frames or serialized parts (yes, you have to hide numbers on some legal to sell parts), no magazines over 10 rounds, no Glock switches or binary triggers, no parts for ARs (this can be avoided by saying it fits a Mossberg MVP) at all, and you have to be VERY careful listing AK parts. Know what keywords to avoid. I had Ruger single action grip frames taken down before. Don't use the word frame and they're okay. eBay has ignorant hall monitors looking for keywords. I am not suggesting selling stuff not allowed there, just how to get around having a listing pulled down that's NOT against the rules ... which happens.

Ya never know what you will find there. Last year i snagged a gary reeder barrel, nm, 22, then did some research, found out it needs his long cylinder...
And one can get mags for more than 10 rounds.
There are many who put tape on the barrel threads, but its apparently muzzle threads that ebay dosent want shown, tho they dont know the difference and you dont want to buy a barrel with boogert-up threads that you cant see...

I should have been more clear. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I wasn't able to get parts shipped here to NJ from eBay for a long time. Like other places that won't ship to NJ based old laws that were changed 6 or 7 years ago. Even now there are still places that won't ship stun guns, tasers, ASP batons and other things that are perfectly legal here now.

I check eBay regularly for a base pin removal tool. The pin in my SAA is always difficult to remove.

I have found unobtainable firearm items on eBay, like a rear sight for a Colt Colteer single-shot 22 magnum.
All I needed was the sight blade and got an entire rear sight for $10.

You missed the part where you only got ONE "free" re-list and there was no "buy it now" together with "list until it sells" like there is now. You used to have to pay to list something whether or not it sold! There was also no protections on shipping price meaning people would list an expensive item for next to nothing and make the shipping hundreds to avoid sales tax AND the final value fees (eBay commission) were based on item price only, not shipping. The fees they charge now are LESS than they were ten years ago when eBay was in bed with PayPal ... because PayPal was the required way to get paid to sell and they charged commission. eBay did away with PayPal payments to sellers and now use direct deposits for earnings from sales. They also got rid of the ability to leave feedback for buyers because it made no sense to have it. There's really not much a buyer can do to a seller other than lie about an item received to get a refund ... which has happened to me too. Nothing I can do about it and I am certainly not going to complain about paying 15% commission to have an audience of millions to sell to.

I have gotten some good buys on gun items on E-bay. I will never use my debit card on those purchases, only my credit card.
