Ground Hog Day

Paxcatawhany (sp) Phil did not see his shadow so he is predicting an early spring. Might realize that he is generally wrong.

The days are getting longer. It can’t be too long now. Although around here we usually have at least one good snowstorm in February. The forecast for next week is hitting 60 on Wednesday. I’m okay with that.

Ground hog day used to be about changing through seasons. Now it may mean to some folks "break the 17 hmr out of storage"!

Snow? . . . Winter? . . . Whatz dat?
We've had three nights it got to freezing (sorry Gary, know you guys have
it a lot tougher). I asked one of the check-out clerks at one store "when
does Winter get here?" and she said (literally) "What's that?"
The portion of CO that I used to live in had a high of 17 degrees a week or
so, ago. The part I . . . love . . . is NO snow to shovel. 8)
I guess it is making up for the 115 to 118 degrees last Summer. :wink:

I am happy for what I have today. First time in a week it has been above freezing. Spring can't get here soon enough for me.

Based on Phil's observation this morning, I'd predict Spring will be here for sure by March 20 this year!

Would have been my late father's 90th birthday.... I do miss him.... he taught me you can fix just about any thing.
