I am trying to make a matching pair of a 10 22 and a Mini 14. I like the green laminate stock on my Minie, so that is the one I am trying to match. I am trying for the basic factory configuration with the more subdued green color that is in my Lipseys Mini 14. I don't want one with the lime green layers like Ruger has put on some recent production 10 22's. Anybody know who made the one's for the Lipseys model or if there is some other manufacturer that makes one?
Thanks

There's ones that are green and black laminates, the Davidson's neon green and black laminates and the older 10/22's often referred to as Walmart models that were a black/grey laminate but often had a greenish tint. Which is it?

It would be the darker one. Definitely not the neon green. The one on my Minie is a dark grey and green. Kind of a good camo tone. I could probably live with the grey one that had a green look to it. So I suppose it's a Walmart green that I'm looking for.
Thanks

Like the Mini and 10/22 pictured here?

Yep, looks like the same stock, but mine is a blued model with only a standard front sight, no flash guard or other bells and whistles.
Nice group, you've got there. Thanks for posting the photo.
I'm fairly new to semiautos. We can't hunt with them in PA, so they are only for paper punching. A lot of our ranges limit us on the number of rounds in a gun as well, to make their backstops last longer, so volume shooting is not always an option. Just got a couple to see what all the interest is about.

No problem Black Fly. I didn't realize PA had restrictions like that. Does that also include .22s for squirrels, rabbits, etc?

Why does everybody think the black laminate looks green?

I dunno, they look green to me

What Black Fly has is a 3 year old special that was done for Davidson's. It is actually a very nice green laminated stock. It bears no resemblance to the older runs that are much more grayish like the Walmart RSI rifles. Many years ago Ruger made a 10/22 with a green laminate that had some red in it if my memory serves me well.

Three50seven, the restriction applies to all hunting. Even handguns and 22 squirrel rifles. So we can't hunt with a 10 22 or a Mark I, II or III. The only semi we can use is a shotgun with shot for small game. A shotgun with slugs for deer can't be a semi. I think it is a hold over from prohibition days. Other than the semi thing PA is a very gun friendly state.

MikeJinVT is correct about the color of my mini. I've not seen anyother Ruger models of the same color. All of the others that I have seen were either more of the black/grey color or the electric neon greeen. I also recall seeing some that had what we called rainbow laminate a few years back. There was a thin red layer with green and black as the primary layers. I thought those were made by the same company that made laminates for Thompson Center special run guns. I cannot remember the name of that company.
Thanks
