Great Trigger Fix for American

I stumbled upon this over at the Firing Line--this is a great trigger fix suggested by Dan Newberry. VERY easy to do and results are dramatic improvement. I just performed this operation on my 223. Trigger pull dropped from 3.5 lbs to about 2.5 lbs. I checked to make sure it wouldn't jar off. Even if you trim the spring, tightening the screw brings you back up between 3 and 5 lbs.

It is the simplest one I've ever done--and by virtue of the trigger housing design and the fact the spring is enclosed in a "tunnel" I have no reservations about doing the spring cut-down--unlike the ones I've done on other more conventional trigger assemblies.
