Right now the Ruger website is showing the Harris-type bipod normally included with the Charger, on-sale for under $25 bucks.

That is a screamin' deal for anyone shooting anything off a bench, prone, or truck hood.

I have another on the way...

I bought one for my M77 and I really like it. It comes on and off really easy I keep it in my shooting box. It is a really clever design fits on any rifle with a sling stud. I put it on my 22 when my son shoots it. Great price on a great bypod. Ed

I ordered one too.
BTW, I was looking at an old 2009 Ruger Sportswear and Accessories catalog
and they had the Bipod priced at $115.20. Wonder why they reduced the
regular price down to $45.20? :? That's quite a markdown.

I have several of each bipods, Harris and the imports. They are nearly identical. One difference I have been able to tell is in the friction adjuster for the leg height. The Harris seems to take less pressure to hold the leg in place. I prefer the Harris but with the deal Ruger has on the import model, It would be hard to pass by if you need one. The last couple Harris bipods I have purchased were used in like new condition.

Not close at all. Chinese junk. Buy American!

Same quality..no. Close....yes. Not junk at all and sure does the job it is made to do.

Sounds like maybe the Charger is on the way out and Ruger has a bunch of bipods they need to get rid of???

You have all American made electronics, including the computer you typed this on? ;) Foreign doesn't automatically mean junk.

Received the bipod from Ruger last Monday and got her mounted on one of my 10/22s. It seems well made, locks up tight and is very easy to install. Maybe not a Harris, but I’m sure it will satisfy my requirements, especially for the price.
BTW, it’s a Shooters Ridge product and I see that Ruger is offering $4.00 shipping on any product the whole month of July.
