Green Top sports in Richmond, Va. is showing a used super in .480 for $600. Thought that looked like a good price.

Don't know Catfish , sounds a little high or at least top pricing for my neck of the woods. I'm in W. Pa , seems most SRHs are going for between 5 and 6 bills. Thats bare , if theres any accessories ... pricing will reflect it. The 44s generally closier to the 5 mark with the bigger bores closier to the 6 mark. Now with Ruger marketing the .480 again , being a .480 shouldn't be a factor. Guess it boils down to condition and how bad do you want it.

If it is complete (case and rings), then it is a fair price. Not a smokin' deal but not getting reamed either.
I bought mine a few months back (before the crazyness started) for $600 in as new condition. This was an original 2001 issue gun that had not been fired since it left the factory.

I have a couple 480 SRH's and I would not even consider $600 for either one. I have not see one on GB that cheap either.
I would consider that a good buy for a 480 Ruger in either 7.5 or 9.5 Inch Barrel.
As far as I am concerned the 480 Super RedHawk is the best hunting revolver ever made.
Something good to know. Mike at Master Cast Bullets sells 370 grain RNFP 480 bullets in a box of 500 for a hair under $0.15 ea.

Has excellent product. My 7.5" 480 loves them, have shot 3 or four different ones. Accuracy Excellent, Clean Up could not be easier, 2-3 passes with a .50 cal bore snake after 40-50 rounds does it.

I wouldn't take $600 for mine, nope.
The 480 Ruger simply does what a hunting revolver SHOULD do, and does it well. Accuracy in the SRH is very very good (for me).
For an as-new package with rings, box, etc. I'd give a second look even with a $700 tag these days. No Ruger collection (of working shooters) is complete without a 480R SRH!
