Just bought my 102nd and 103rd guns of the year (yeah, I have a little addiction problem)

Looks like the basepin, triggger pin, hammer, and hammer pin have been swapped out to stainless, and the front sight has obviously been changed.... but that's ok....I think they look kinda cool 8)

The seller says combined shipping for the pair will be around $20, and my dealer doens't charge me for transfers (considering that I'm over half of his business  ), so I think I had a pretty good day. Made myself a resolution back in December to never pass on a Ruger single action for under $300 if it's in good shape. It's turning out to be a pretty expensive resolution.

You think the 200-300 dollar guns are an expensive resolution, you should try the 2000/3000 dollar guns!

Seriously... can't argue with either of those deals!

I know what ya mean, rugerhound. five of those 103 were colt pythons. But I sold four of them already for for more than i paid and basically got the fifth one for free. Nobody needs five pythons!

Two great buys for sure!

The 45 might just have polished parts since there's some blue left on the Cylinder pin. The sight is probably original, just been notched for the red insert.

Thh 44 Mag is what they used to call the 'Gunfighter Model' because it was the first factory shorter barrel SBH version. Has a steel grip frame and just needs a steel ERH.

Actually the best thing I ever did to mine was to install the longer Ejector rod and ERH from the 357 Max and 10" SBHs. It will push those 44 mag cases all the way out of the cylinder! Gives it the look of a short barrel the way it is even with the end of the barrel. Just need one blind hole drilled and tapped near the end of the barrel for the attachment screw. Would work well on the 45 as well.

Yes Hondo I have one of those on a 44 thats longer than normal and it makes unloading a breeze. My barrel is cut back to 5.5" and it's just a little longer than the erh. I would have cut it shorter to flush but it would have been in the warning on the side of the barrel so I went just in front of it and cut there to keep from having part of the warning missing.
