good article in Handloader

This just seems like the place to post this. :) I just got the latest issue of Handloader Magazine and it has, what appears to be, an indepth article about the Ruger revolvers, 4 pages worth. And, lots of pics of Blackhawks.

Also, since there seems to be a pretty good interest lately, there is an article on the .44 Special. Looks to be a good reloading chart and info on different pistols.

Just thought you all might like to know.

The 44 Special article was ok, and validates more Powders
I may try. Currently I am using Red Dot (with great success),
Unique, and Bullseye. Got Long Shot but haven't tried it yet.

I always learn something. I even read the articles that
don't even have nothing in common with my interests.

This new issue number 308 I had to slow down so I
didn't read all the articles.

When it comes in the mail it comes in the mail, who
cares if the News Stand gets it first! I'm not trying
to impress anyone that I got it first to talk about the
new articles!

Out of the Alliant Reload Guide and Speer Reloading Manual #11 1987
and other sources from my researching:
240gr LSWC Lead Semi Wad Cutter/5.0grs Alliant Red Dot/Primer S&B
Sellier & Bellot LP Large Pistol 5,3 or CCI LP #300/Winchester or Remington
Cases/Roll Crimp with Lee Crimp die (medium?) / FPS 720-762?

Using Ben's Liquid Lube tumble bullet lube for eliminating Leading barrels.

I haven't had a chance to Chronograph the reload yet. I can say the
primers are no near being flat. A very accurate reload for me.

Very Very accurate out of my 44 Magnums (S&W's) with 5.6grs.
Appears to be accurate out of my 45 Long Colt with 6.0grs./250gr
LRNFP Handloader #291 Apr2014.

Now these are out of my S&W Revolvers, remember all Revolvers
are different, but worth a try in modern Revolvers.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I have a Blackhawk and a Charter Arms Bulldog in .44spl and they can't seem to agree on one load.

Mine don't agree either .... Because I like the Skeeter load for my Ruger .44 Specials. But as above, not the for the Bulldog, so it gets 6.0g of Unique under 240g SWC instead. Accurate enough to ping the steel out to 70 yards or so.... Should be good enough for 7 - 15 yards for its intended purpose in life :) .

Brian Pearce was a great choice to take over the "Pet Loads" column. I also liked his "Spring Fever" article, and anything else he writes about firearms and ranch life. His "3 Favorites" article from several years ago is one of the best I've ever read.

I got my subscription yesterday. The article that caught my eye was in the Bullets & Brass section.
Someone was and probably still is using Win.296 to load 9mm.
