I'll bet that most of us have the ongoing search for a glass cleaning product
that is not really smelly, but yet actually cleans the inside of your windshield.

Well . . . . I think I found one that meets or exceeds all criteria.
AND . . . . is inexpensive . . . . TA-DA! -
Sprayway Glass Cleaner.

I find them in many retailer's listings, on Amazon (for 3 to 6$), and the least
expensive seems to be Home Depot . . . for $2.39 . . . . . amazed me.

There are a few reviewers that whine about it, but most reviews I've seen
run from good to excellent. I find it to be very high good to low end excellent.

I use a terry-cloth rag and spray the rag with cleaner, then lean in and wipe
the inside of the wind shield. I'll bet most know the sound when the glass
is actually clean. Many products require two, or more, applications to get
that. Sprayway did it the very first application.

And did I mention that the glass is CLEAN!?

We just use distilled white vinegar, straight. It's cheap, and works very well.
And smells.

Funny this should be mentioned today. Just finished doing my wife's new car windows with it. Which also reminds me that I haven't eaten one of my hot pickled eggs today that I put up about a month ago.

Time to go raid the fridge. Later, y'all! :)

Funny you should mention pickled eggs - I just threw some in the fridge to pickle. Mine usually don't make it a month.

Okay GG and 32shooter, you've got me. Recipe?????? :D

Lot's of recipes on the web. But I use some modified regular grocery store pickling spices.

Warning: Don't use iodized salt, only use sea salt or pickling salt. I add 3 or 4 garlic cloves/dozen, and 4 or 5 split hot peppers & chunked yellow onion, among other things, including cherry tomatoes, and other veggies (broccoli, asparagus, etc.), all of which are eatable. Depends on my mood  .

Tip: A couple tablespoons of sugar per quart really brings out the flavor and heat.

I've also used various different vinegars besides the standard white vinegar. Lot's of room to experiment.

A quart mason jar will hold a dozen eggs usually. Make sure it's sterile.

Unlike store bought, I don't add beet juice to make 'em pink, and I don't filter out all the spices, etc.

Once you've got the mix in the pot, let it boil for 10 min. or so. Put the hardboiled shelled eggs in the jar, and fill it with the boiling mix to about 1/2" from the top, and seal it up. Leave it out on the counter over night, then store in the fridge.

Thank you. I am going to try that. I would imagine that those eggs do cause some terrific noxious gaseous discharges however.

Yep. They can peal paint. Man food. Not for the faint of heart.

That Sprayway cleaner comes in at least 2 types,
1 with no ammonia and fragrance added and one with ammonia without
the fragrance . Both in a foaming spray can.
I use the ammonia type in my shop, buy it by the case.
I have an unpleasant sensitivity with the fragrant one.
Good stuff but the homemade brews sure are cheaper.

I first started eating pickled eggs when I was about 12 years old. every Saturday afternoon between Horse Operas I would go into the local pool room and have a bowl of chili and a pickled egg for lunch. A real treat...
