FS 44 Special Flattop--Withdrawn

That figures. Emerald is essentially a suburb of Lincoln. Was hoping we'd be closer to avoid some Shipping and FFL fees.

I'll continue thinking about it. Who knows after a few days in the tree stand waiting for Bambi or any of his relatives, I might talk myself into it.

You are not required to use an FFL for this transaction. You are both residents of NE…..as long as you have the NE firearms purchase card or NE CCW (which you would need even to buy from an FFL) this gun can be shipped directly to you. The shipping cost would be less than $20……..not enough keep you from a good deal. :)

First of all, I don't want to seem as I'm jumping all over anybody here :!: That said, individuals can not legally ship guns to anyone but an FFL. This is federal law. It's the reason we can't just buy online without going through an FFL. Black powder arms are exempt and are legal to ship. I THINK antiques are also, but I'm not sure. All these regs are garbage shoved down our throat in my opinion, but don't want to see anyone get in trouble either

I am curious about this. Does Nebraska have a state exemption for shipments within the state if you've got these cards?

From the BATF

(B9) May a nonlicensee ship a firearm by carrier?

A nonlicensee may ship a firearm by carrier to a resident of his or her own state or to a licensee in any state. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun.

You’re wrong. There are several different circumstances where one can ship a firearm without going to an FFL but I won’t hijack this post with firearm shipping BS. Educate yourself…..start here with the ATFs FAQ from their website:

Q: May a nonlicensee ship a firearm by common or contract carrier?
A nonlicensee may ship a firearm by a common or contract carrier to a resident of his or her own State or to a licensee in any State. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun. In addition, Federal law requires that the carrier be notified that the shipment contains a firearm and prohibits common or contract carriers from requiring or causing any label to be placed on any package indicating that it contains a firearm.
[18 U.S.C. 922(a)(2)(A), 922(a) (3), 922(a)(5) and 922(e), 27 CFR 478.31 and 478.30]

That said, there may be state or local restrictions in some areas.

Please, let’s not turn this in to another endless firearms shipping discussion. The facts are there, read them.

PM me if you want to discuss this further and lets let GW get back to selling his Ruger.

Dennis.

I apparently didn't catch that part before :!: Yes indeed, don't let me slow down the sale! As a matter of fact, if you'd like to get it over, I'll go $350
