From a post to Lou.
Well Lou,

Here is what I built wayyyyyyyyyyyyy back in 1976- 77. They are a 50 cal Lyman Great Plains Rifle and a 50 Cal. Pennsylvania Rifle along with a 44 Cal Pistolie.

Just a little history for you. The first best built American Long Rifles came from Lancaster County Penn. not Kentuck. The Hawken Brothers of St Louie built the better built and stronger guns for the Pilgrims moving West.

Own a couple T/C hawkins myself, some of my favorite rifles to shoot. I spend some time on Track of the wolf looking at their kit guns. Blackpowder really gets in your blood.

Hey Jim, if that flintlock is not a virgin, would you consider bringing it to F'burg this May? I have never fired one!

Nothing I have is a virgin. Have not been around one since I was about 16 years old

Be clad to, but first I have to find a ram rod for it. Last time I shot it I broke the rod  At the time I couldn't find one that long. Will try again.
