Visited Wally world today, Sunday the 13th. They had under lock and key, Federal 9mm 115 FMJ 100 packs,
just 5 but still on the self. Clerk said she put it out herself, all she had, one carton of 5. I purchased one box,
$19.97 plus tax $21.68 OTD. Could have purchased them all but thought someone else might want/need some.
Also some 38's 40's and a few 7.62 rounds. No .223, .357 or 45's. A few hunting rounds also in stock today.

Location, Parsons KS 67357

You're a very kind person. I hope you are rewarded somehow for your thoughtfulness!

Yep the ..ammo onslaught seems to be slowing a bit here in this area also...

I bought a few boxes of .40's at Wally's World yesterday but the rest was gone.
The clerk that helped me said the vendors at the gun show down the block
came in and bought them out and then went back to the show to sell it at twice the price.
We drove by the show and it was lined up out into the parking lot. The building was
at capacity and a person could only go in after one left the building.

I laughed and laughed. It appears capitalism is alive and well assisted by a good dose of public panic.
A lot of good fishing going on lately.

Just heard that Wally World is buckling to King Obumer. Will stop all new orders of ammo at their stores. So get what you can cause it will dry up in a week or so at those stores.

Substantiate your claim, just came from wal-mart and he is still ordering colt AR's and ammo on the shelf and moving.

Could be a very costly move on Wal-mart's part, if it is true.

Buckshotshorty, do not need a reward. :D While I waited for a clerk selling a combo hunt/fish license, I noticed a VISA card on the counter. Picked itup and interupted the clerk and ask if she could page the owner before he left the store. She did and he returned in few minutes and was thankful for the return of his card. The guy buying a lincense told him we purchased 3 rifles and 1 shotgun with his card. His respondse was, I hope they were inexpensive. I told him I'm only interested in the cheap 9 mm ammo. I would never use someones Visa card, as I like to sit in the front pew on Sunday morning. And anyone that would steal, should not sit on the front row.

Here is more like the real answer>
Walmart has put a 2 week hold on any more ammo orders. No inventory to cover existing stock orders. It will keep trickling in gotta love the internet. Just talked to the local wal-mart manager.

Talked the super of the sporting goods section at the local Wally's and he said they will not be ordering anymore ammo until the gun control stuff is figured out. He said if they impose a large tax on ammo the stores that only sell small quantities of ammo will not be stocking it anymore.

Went back to the WM in Parsons KS on Sunday the 20th. No 9mm, some .40, 357, 380 and 44 mag.
Went to Coffeyville KS WM, no 9 mm some .40 and 357 and a few .44 mag. Went to Independence,KS found 9mm 4 boxes, $21.37, up $1.40 per box of 100 for Federal bulk. Purchased one box. $23.46 OTD.

Stopped at the Walmart in Lindale and they had 6 boxes of 9mm Remington 115 grain MC. Bought 3 boxes and the lady behind me bought the other 3. Guess I just got lucky.

Stopped in the local wal-mart on the way home 1/21/13 today , gun manager said hi, and told me to hold on a sec. Said truck just came in. He had a case of 10, 555rd win 22 rimfire. 2 and half cases of Fed 9mm 115gr FMJ, (looked to be about 30, 50rd boxes) and 5, 50 rd boxes of Fed .45, 230gr FMJ.

Grabbed 2 boxes of rimfire, and a couple boxes of .45. and let the rest ride. One guy came in and was going to buy the remaining 8 boxes of rimfire and the gun manager told him to buy a couple boxes and let the other 10 guys waiting to have a shot at some ammo which he did.

the .45 was gone when I left but still plenty of 9mm and a couple boxes of .22. Said they are not even ordering the ammo anymore they just take what they send and put it on the shelf so slow but sure its coming in. Also said they can't order any Colt AR's but they have been just getting two a week at the store and have a short list of folks coming into get them.

good luck
Shoot straight and shoot often.

Is there still a giant pile of engine blocks there?
