Just goes to show, "high tech" doesn't win every battle!

The US Army developed a curved barrel for the M3 sub machine gun, the "Grease Gun." The idea was that it could be used to clear the decks of tanks when infantry climbed aboard. Worked out that neighboring tanks could do the job just as well.
