What years were the blued security sixes forged, not cast

hesco, as far as I know, the Six series frames have always been cast. I own S/N 150-00141 and it is cast.

When I saw the title of this thread I first thought someone found a forged (i.e. faked) Security Six.

As Wil said, "Always investment cast." They were one of Ruger's greatest products. I personally like them better than their replacements.

THE GP100's are real klunks in comparison to the elegant, sleek Security Sixes. I still mourn my missing a Security Six 6" in 38SPL, perhaps the greatest-to-be DA 38/44 in history. OH Lordy....

Only exception I know of are the receivers of the original .44 carbines, which were machined from solid steel billets.

I wish they still made them too. This one is my favorite. Bought it new and I might have 50 rounds through it. I really need to give it more attention and up the round count!
