i have a chance to buy several parts for my service six but i don't know if they will fit. my gun was made in 1985 with a 160xxxx number, the parts came from a sercurity six with a number of 150xxxx. the parts are the hammer spring and strut, hammer pin, cylinder release button and pivot pin, cylinder latch, main spring seat, and a few pins. thank you

RoninPa could likely be one of the best to answer that question.
Maybe modify your title to include something about the Security-Six so he'll see the post?

thanks, i found a good deal on some parts but didn't know if they would fit. i still can't find a ejector rod for my gun mabe one will show up soon.

The parts you describe should work in your Service Six. The difference in the 150- s/n and the others (151- and up) was the frame. The 150- had what is now called the low back frame. The 151- and up have what is called the high back frame. The only other thing that I know of that has changed over time is the trigger spring. It went from a round type of wire to a square type of wire (the spring weight did not change). Other than that, the internals are the same. They did also go through several variations of the hammer and trigger but those were things like going from a grooved trigger to a smooth trigger, going from a blued trigger and hammer to stainless, they were cosmetic, not functional.

ok thanks. i called ruger friday and they don't have ejector rods but told me 3 places that might have them. all 3 places had only stainless ones, if i don't find a blue one soon i'll go to stainless. thanks
